Patricia McConnell, a University of Wisconsin associate professor of zoology, disagrees with Cesar’s methods. She believes that behavioral problems stem from miscommunication and not a lack of dominance. The opinion is shared by The Bark magazine editor in chief Claudia Kawczynska who called Cesar a “poseur,” and went on to say that “he is a hairdresser, not the real guy in terms of being an expert.”
