- 12 Ways To Increase Your Dog’s Life Expectancy
There’s no doubt that we want our canine companions to stick around for as long as possible, but this doesn’t have to be left down to chance. Making some changes in diet, lifestyle and environment can help increase the life expectancy of your dog.
1. Spay or Neuter
Spaying or neutering your dog can increase lifespan by between 1 and 3 years. Neutered males can’t get testicular cancer and are less likely to suffer from prostate problems. Spayed females are less likely to develop mammary cancer and are unable to get potentially fatal infections of the womb.
