One of the most popular and loved family dogs, the Golden Retrievers are intelligent and playful dogs that get along well with everyone.

Apart from being friendly towards other dogs, Retrievers are amazing with kids and will be kind to strangers. Because of their loving nature, they are not good guardian dogs – but if you are looking for a companion, Golden Retrievers are excellent service dogs who are always willing to please their human family.

Natural swimmers, Golden Retrievers have a water-resistant coat and webbed feet and love to spend hours in the water. They will enjoy themselves on the beach – either swimming or playing with their owner – so you can take them with you to the seaside.

Since they love to run around and jump, Retrievers are prone to hip dysplasia. They also tend to gain weight easily so don’t give them too much to eat.
